We are recruiting a team for Sensory Escape's pediatric intervention program in Canton, Ohio. The work calls for practical skill, careful documentation and respectful collaboration—not just an interest in sensory activities.
The program is designed to operate Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with a 1:4 support model. These are program hours, not a promise of any employee's shift. Final job openings, compensation, individual work schedules and hiring dates are subject to confirmation.
HOW WE EXPECT TO WORK
Clear plans, clear responsibilities.
The Intervention Specialist leads IEP goal-aligned instruction and oversees how strategies are used. Sensory Support Aides/Specialists provide direct assistance and objective observations under that guidance. Each role must respect the child's individual plan and know when to seek direction.
Observable IEP goal documentation
Record the IEP goal addressed, strategy used, child's observable response, progress, barriers and the next step. The Intervention Specialist reviews those observations to guide instruction. Avoid vague notes that cannot support a meaningful review.
Defined clinical boundaries
Licensed therapists provide clinical services within scope. Intervention and support staff implement only the activities they are qualified and authorized to deliver, with appropriate supervision.

Lead Intervention Specialist
Likely responsibilities: Lead instruction aligned with each child's applicable IEP goals; adapt and organize daily learning experiences; direct and support Sensory Support Aides/Specialists; review progress records and guide adjustments; collaborate with families and other responsible professionals.
Relevant preparation: Appropriate Intervention Specialist qualifications for assigned educational responsibilities, strong instructional judgment, experience with neurodivergent children, ongoing oversight and careful IEP-goal documentation.

Sensory Support Specialist
Likely responsibilities: Serve as a Sensory Support Aide/Specialist within the planned 1:4 direct-support model. Under the Intervention Specialist's direction, help children practice applicable IEP goals through play, communication, transitions and routines; document observable responses and flag needs for adjustments or added support.
Relevant preparation: Experience supporting neurodivergent children, appropriate role training, reliable data collection, dignity-centered support, child safety and readiness to follow the Intervention Specialist's instructional guidance.

Occupational Therapist
Likely responsibilities: When clinically indicated and available, assess occupational performance, establish OT-specific goals and services, document skilled treatment and advise the team on practical participation strategies within the OT scope of practice.
